As the name implies, the early days of this building found cows moving through from the farm to be milked and fed before returning to the bucolic pastures still here today. A repurposed and renovated building, this mountain home is built from the materials at hand. Stone from the Arkansas river wraps the passive solar living space and planks sourced from surrounding barns were milled for siding for the rest of the exterior.
